Does anyone have any tips for getting rid of hydra in a shrimp tank? The tank is 10 gallons and the hydra just started showing up after I put in some new plants. Any help is appreciated.
I just dealt with hydra in my 5 gallon shrimp tank! They're fascinating but I was afraid for any future shrimplettes that I'd have. I went the fenbendazole route (I used Safeguard Canine Dewormer). There's lots of guides out there on dosage. I only had to dose once and I haven't seen a single hydra since. Supposed to wipe out all the other worms and is harmful to some snails but interestingly enough, some rhabdocoela seem to have survived and the ramshorn snails I have in there seem unaffected.
