Some really strong chihiros LED's can reach 24inch deep easily, may need two+ of them. Also depends on the plants. This was my 110gal that is 24inch deep with two chihiros a1201 I think? They are dicontinued but they've made some newer ones that are RGBW+.. Are you using high quality T5's or just random ones? There is a big difference between like Geissman bulbs and random bulbs.

Thank you for your answer to my question. Your tank is beautiful,I have used the lite that Jan's Tropical sugested but can only grow low lite plants like vals and javas
