what is the best 48" LED light for the money?

Trying to get some 48" LED for my freshwater tank. Looking for an LED light that gives the brightest and brings out the colors of the fishes best. There are so many brand out there and don't want to make a mistake. Any advice from what you have experienced and used would be greatly appreciated. Won't be growing too many plants and there will be mainly anubias in the tank. Main concern is to get the best colors out of the fishes in the tank and reliability of the light. Thanks.

If your just growing anubias you should be able to get away using almost anything, theyre a super easy plant and actually prefer to be shaded

I have nicrew classic led plus and like it. It is cheap and basic but super bright and can grow almost all the plants i want. I even sold my more expensive fluval light.

If u mainly grow anubias then i would strongly suggest getting a dimmer.

Do you have fish with that Nicrew led plus tank? How are the colors of the tank? Does it bring out the colors of the fishes? How long have you had the light, feels like it's reliable?

I have a 24" Beamswork DA FSpec and love it. It's been running strong for 18 months so far (knock wood!).

Whichever LED light you get, get a dimmer/controller. I have (and recommend) the S2 Pro led controller, which you can buy from evilbay or aliexpress. It lets you program the level of your lights at 8 different times - so you can start at 0% in the morning, ramp up, ramp down and back up in the middle of the day if you want, then ramp down in the evening.

So this question is totally dependent on the tank dimensions so if I recall you have very deep tanks 26" + from rim to substrate. Which means you will not be able to utilize most of the traditional fixtures others with less experience are mentioning.

I would look into beamswork evo quads or maybe an array of kessils or AI's

Oh yeah, deep tanks can be hard to light. Although if you're doing mostly Anubias and other low-light plants like ferns and mosses, you'll probably be okay with a Nicrew or Beamswork.

I have both 48" beamswork the fspec and da6500k. I like both but I have a high tech tank and they aren't cutting it for me so they are up for sell. Pm if interested. The fspec beamswork was only used for about 3 months and the da6500k was used for about a year.
