Thats what I was hoping for. I cant see using glue as the pressure of the water will hopefully keep it all together.

I've ran the tank for about 3 days now and dont see any leaks !! An amazing feat. The only thing I do notice is that the pump I have is running about 400 GPH I notice though at the top return pipe there is not much pressure. Anyone have advice on this ? Its enough to break the water at the top but not completely spitting out.


I also need to find some type of foreground plants. I have some Jungle val and Cryptocoryne Balansaes for the backish area. Frill and some other plant that has very fine pine needle like leaves I plan on getting. I also have some narrow leaf sprigs that havent been growing to fast.

I'm looking for some rare and possibly type of red short plants to put in front. I already have some tiger lotus growing too but I'm thinking of putting that more towards the center.


Do the great people of scape have any suggestion ? Please and thankyou !!

And besides this I have an important question about my plants. I've removed everything from my old tank and took plants out. There in the water but floating. I need them to be like this until Thursday do you think they will be ok to replant ?!? I know these little guys go into shock !!! Don't lose me guys we're on the most artistic part now !! Ima need some ideas on the hard scale and layout !!!

Typically, when replanting rooters in this way, it's best to at least put them in the water, but you would be better still to buy some small terra cotta pots and fill tem over the roots with a substrate.

For suggestion on rare/red, blood vomit is pretty cool. Not entirely red, but cool.

That's a strong looking species !! How did you find that one and where can you buy them ?

I had never heard of it before one of the meetings that had it on auction.

You might try Bo (4f1hmi?), or @swoof.

Ck could special order it, and you can always try online.

For blood vomit and other erios, do a search on Google for Eriocaulon. CGAR and Bo have done these plants, I never tried.

Well gentleman !! I have room for that plant and I did find it... however I will not be purchasing it quite yet. I went ahead and went to the LFS and got a pretty awesome selection of plants including the ones I have already been growing. I want to see how things acclimate and grow.

I've actually seen some very rapid growth from these little peckers.



I plan on taking a video later to show you all around the tank. Dont hate me for not taking any scaping Ideas!!! I feel like the thread is just dying out. I am always welcome to opinions though

Ok Ladies and Gentleman !! It is pretty much completed except for filling up my C02 tank which just died on me today !! So bummed but I just have to go right down the street to get it so no biggie

I have created a video for all of you to check out ! It may not be the best and I'm not very talkative haha (not enough beer - liquid courage) !! But you get the idea of what I created. The only thing that wasnt made by hand so to say is the tank's themselves everything else is custom !! I could've have done a lot better but time restraints and other things got in the way. I'm still happy with the outcome though Enjoy !!

List of Fauna: 7 Roseline Sharks(Denison Barbs), 3 Blue Electric Rams, 1 SAE(Saimese Algae Eater), 5 Ottocinclus, 1 Blue Diamond(I believe) Discus, I also have 2 more discus from the batch I bought a while ago but 1 of them keeps picking on the one in this tank so I had to take him out and quarintene him before this was built so I am deciding if I want to add them in or not. This I have been battling with for a while. Any thoughts ???

List of Flora: Nesea Golden, Micro Sword, Phlyantrus Fluvitans, Nana Petit anubias, Pogostemon felferi, red melon, crypt spiral tiger, blixa japonica, Cryptocoryne balansae,
Bacopa Carolina, java moss, and a few others I cant think of off the top of my head !!

I have 2 beautiful swords to sort of give away as well. PM and let me know if you want them I'd hate to throw them away. The roots are amazingly perfect to plant !! haha

Once everything starts to grow which it already has grown quite a bit I will take some more pics and show you what is going on !!

It always amazes me how small a tank can look when it is filled in.

Numbers like "60" and "120" or "300" become arbitrary.

Ya considering the substrate takes up a lot of the bottom the tank isn't even really a "60" gallon!! The sump does and the rest of the water flow that is for sure. I want to say it's probably running around 80 gallons of water and It's already giving good results and I can't wait until it fills in! I like the fact also that it has depth since it is deeper than my 75 and the best thing is you can look at it from all sides !
