300 gallon community tank in work

I'm ordering acrylic 96x30x24" tank with external overflow on the side which will be my discus community tank in my living room. I'm still working on sump 48x20x18" but not final yet. Yesterday, I had good friends came over helping on stand. Here are some pics.

You might want to consider making the front from a series of smaller boards vs. once big sheet like the back… it's plenty strong already.

You can also save $ and weight on the side panels using thinner ply, 1/4" or 3/8" would easily work on the sides

What are your plans for finishing the stand?

I like to have a peace of mind and like those strong overkilled stand . it will be in living room and hopefully will enjoy it for long time. We'll finish it with stain.

yes, it will replace the one and sell it in living room

Another week went by. I found a local guy who cut the door openings. Here are what we have done on it and can't thank you enough to Derrick, David, Tan for their helps. It should be done soon, just need some touch up and stain it in cognac color with clear coat on top. It's getting closer and closer and very excited to get it running.
