    You think they'll stay put?
I have a Brigs tank in my garage and found a Brigs in the flower bed in front of my house.

These guys love to climb around and they can stay out water for an extended time, so they may climb out of anything with a rough surface that they can grab. I have them in the plastic pond, they can't climb up the plastic walls. Last night one orange crab got on top of the pond via filter electrical cable, so I push the cable off the wall. They are cute little critters, they do breed in fresh water. They come from Sulawesi, Indonesia - geosesarma sp.

    Le, what do they eat?
I see a guy on craigslist here in san diego has them sometimes, but I think my half wine barrel would be too small.

They eat algae, regular fish food, dead plants, worms and bugs. You can take them out and play with them like real pets, and they will crawls on your hands and arms ... very cool.

Very nice Lee, they have such vibrant colors. Be sure to check under your bed, in the bathrooms and anywhere under your feet just to make sure they are not there

Wow Lee!!! There is no stopping you

Is this payback for me posting my greens? Now I wants some of those crabs in my own plastic pond

Could you post full pics of your pond please I would really love to see it. When I was a kid I used to keep redclaw crabs and fiddlers in a 30 high.

Jena, do you think these are like the crab you put in the auction? They seem to behave like your's did.

I realize this is an old thread... but I'm new here and also keep Geosesarma crabs... did these survive and stay put in your pond? This is the first I've heard of anyone keeping them outdoors, and I am fascinated by the idea of it.

Hi guys, again realizing this is an old thread. I wanted to see if you guys were still keeping these crabs and if you had any for sale. Thanks!
