AIO drop in with a 22 gallon long tank

Been thinking about buying a Fiji AIO drop in kit and using it with this 22 gallon long tank. Looking at the measurements, It would fit with a small gap on each side which I could fill with something. Does anyone have experience with these before? Just looking to get some insight as I know this is more geared towards a reef tank.

Did you end up doing this? Wondering how it’s going.

I used to like that type of filter, but then I got into shrimp keeping and its hard to keep babies out of the skimmers. I would make a matten filter for that tank out of foam. You can even paint the glass to hide it.

Not yet, still deciding what I wanna do plus just finished a move into a new apartment so have some organizing to still do. I bought an AIO tank off of someone on these forums so thinking of maybe doing a DYI sump tank. I only have one 10 gallon that's doing really well off a fluval 107 so I wanna expand my knowledge.

Good to know. Was thinking of maybe having a betta in the long but still deciding what I want.
