Ferts Newbie. Mixing Ferts into a single squirt boddle.
Hi.
I recently started a tank with some demanding plants such as Tonina and various red plants.
Strong growth for the first week or two but then stunted. After googling, I am learning the tank needs ferts.
I need to add some NPK and FE as I low fish to plants ratio in this tank.
Currently, I do water change with RO water and remineralize with SL Aqua Blue Wizard and Bing Tsau. However, these don't have NPK & FE (not much anyways).
So, trying to be neat and clean, could I pour Seachem Flourish and Iron into the Blue Wizard's squirt bottle and squirt all three into RO water at once?
Would these 3 types of chemicals mixed together be a bad idea? I am trying to do something like 7 parts BW, 2 parts Flourish and 1 part FE.
Flourish doesn't contain enough nutrients to make an impact, it's a supplement, I also don't recommend mixing them. I recommend you to just buy an all-in-one fertilizer, for example, Thrive. Or you could make your own AIO, but it's more difficult. Or make your own micros and macros.
