    Question... Sorry If I'm uninvited.

Hmmmm.... I may be in the wrong place. I've never used this type of communication. I was looking for answers about my Finnex Planted+ 24/7 HCL.
If it's okay to be posting here, I would just like some expert advice on this light. I'm new(ish) to the hobby, but I am an experienced gardener of 20+ years.
I just got my 3rd tank, and I wanted to get the best light possible (with a budget of about $100) I bought this light... and now I'm concerned. I was under the impression it was excellent for growing all types of plants. The reviews are all so positive, but I do see a lot of people mentioning "low tech" setups.
Did I buy the wrong light?
(48" for 75 gallon, new dirted tank capped with Eco-Complete, CO2)

    Thank You.

The Planted+ is a good light, but, given the height of a 75g tank (about 21 inches?), I think there will be enough attenuation that it will be effectively low-light at the substrate's surface. Do you have access to a PAR meter? You could use it to take readings and see how much light you're getting at various depths.

I don't have access to a PAR Meter. I suppose that would be the most satisfying way to answer my questions... and oh, what fun I would have with a toy like that!
For now, I'm keeping a close eye on my plants. Worst case scenario, I can supplement this lighting if the need arises.

Thank you very much for your kind responses! I appreciate it very much.
