Need help identifying and solution for cloudy water and white growth on driftwood

Cloudy water is bacterial bloom. White fuzzy stuff on wood is biofilm. Leave them alone. It will go away on its own.

Time...

If your inpatient, water changes and you can scrub it off the wood... but the biofilm is common in newly submerged wood and harmless...even if it smells if you choose to pull the wood out...

Throw in some snails and they will eat up that biofilm.

Snails or shrimps will love that biofilm on the wood. But snail will probably be safer if you're still cycling
