Angel Fish Dropped A LOT of EGGS

So one of my Angels look super fat so I took it out to a 10g with some java fern and it dropped a load of egg. Anyone successful at hatching them wanna chime in and give me any feedback or what to do next. Saw someone with a post about them but couldn't find it.

That might have been my post- search for “hatching angels”.

Are you planning on keeping the angel with the eggs? Do you have both parents there?

I move both parents in 10g with heater and sponge. They laid the eggs on the plant. Should I remove parents or leave them as is? What did you feed the babies?

I left the parents in until they hatched. At the “wriggler” stage I moved the parents back into the big tank. I fed the fry “instant baby brine” that I ordered from Amazon, then frozen baby brine, and then frozen daphnia. At 30 days they were eating crushed flake food.

I had a big ammonia spike because I took my eye off the water change ball for 1 day- lost most of the fry. So watch ammonia and do frequent water changes.

    Is the tank cycled?

Yeah tank is cycled I just moved my other old fish aside to the 40g community. Would the babies eat anything else beside brine shrimp?

Some people have luck with hard boiled egg yolk, but it can be messy. They are *tiny* when they first hatch. They need something they can fit in their mouths.
