Hello, I bought a 10G tank from Petco during the dollar per gallon sale and trying to set it up. I want a proper and nice looking light since it will go in my living room. Please let me know what your recommendation is for the following:
- Cheap but functional:
- Nicest I can get:
- Mid range:
Whatever your recommendations are:
Cheap but functional : get daylight leds bulbs and suspend them however you can - ideally from a hood that they fit
Mid range: nicrew (haven't used them, but they work from othe4s' experience)
High end: ai prime freshwater 13/16. This one is in transition
You can sometimes find this one in the old model 13 led for less, but the 16 is the new one. This, in my humble opinion, is overkill, but it is the absolute best bang for the buck.
Several people have already mentioned the NiCrew light, just wanted to add that there's an older model available for a few dollars less than the newer model, not sure what your budget is or what you would consider "cheap."
The new nicrews are great I have one on a 20gal and its pretty bright. Very clean white color. I love that you can dim the blue and white separately on their newer models. A little pricier than their older ones but the new one is definitely superior.
