    What type of enormous amano is this?

    Has it given birth, real amanos can get pregnant but require brackish water for the eggs to hatch

    Was this a Petco purchase, by chance? I know many Petco's have been selling "not" amano shrimp as amanos.

    No idea i dont see babies maybe fish ate them? Amanos need salt water to have babies survive

    I can't say for sure but my own females are pretty big and their color does seem to vary - not sure if it is as they get near a molt, or they build up algae or other things in their exoskeleton. Mine have gone from clear to brownish and greenish.

    Not a great picture but the body is more reddish brown.
