Black Phantom Tetra - How many & M/F Ratio?

    Hello!

What is the absolute minimum schooling size/ratio for black phantom tetras?

Friend was giving away three two females and one male. Wanted to add them to my 15 gallon with blue neon tetras and ember tetras. Iím worried about them being aggressive. Do I need to get more?

    Thanks!

i wouldn’t be too worried about them... a few more would be fine, but not a necessity... just keep in mind a 15g isn’t very large... you don’t want to overload the tank... you didn’t list how many blue and ember tetras u have... so that would be the main concern.... generally though all the listed fish are pretty peaceful...

Phantom tetras should be in a school of at least 8-10 to reduce agression with other fish. The reason people always get rid of 2 or 3 or 4 is because they bnb are killing/terrorizing other fish. They should be in a 20 long or bigger tank too. I have a friend who keeps putting them in a 25 then gets mad at me because after 3 months they kill her guppies and other fish.
