HELP: can you tell if theres any specific reason my shrimp died? it changed colors!

im really sad because i just checked all my levels yesterday
    ammonia: 0
    nitrite: 0
    nitrate: 5-10
    pH: 6.5
    kH: 0-1
    gH: 6
    TDS:150
however i will say that my gH the day before was 8.
i just want to make sure it isnt anything serious in my tank.. ive been adding paraguard (1/2 the recommended dosage) every other day or everyday it just kinda depends if i have time that day. I did a 1 gal water change like 2 days ago, however it was drip and nothing even changed in the tank. it actually lowered the nitrates so it helped the tank!
Like can my shrimp change colors after death due to changes in the water?
please help i am so worried </3

Shrimp typically turn white when they die.

What is your tank size? I'm new at this too and I've had quite a few deaths in the last month or 2 so I'm still learning. Would love to try to help.
Also, where did you get your shrimps from?

i havent been doing this for that long but ive done alot of research in case u want me to try to help you. there are so many reasons why shrimp can die. but that was my choclate one that died and turned to a redish orange color. so thats fairly normal. my tank is 5 gallons.

    Hello,

I started with 2 of 2G jugs I found in Target and had a lot of problems with it. Now I switched to a 5G tank and everything is going great so far. I guess it was just the little tank with parameter shifting too fast and caused problems for me. I hope you figure out what killed your shrimp. I found that a nice long drip acclimation helps the shrimp from dying.
