    Bba or Staghorn or hair algae?


    Got this lovely stuff growing on my driftwood but Iím not sure exactly what it is itís pretty green so Iím not sure if itís bba HALP me lol

    Definately not BBA. Looks to me more like green hair algae. I'm dealing with the same stuff and I think I hate this type more than BBA. It gets all tangled up with my moss and PITA to seperate. But like most algae, it's manageable just takes time, patients and routine maintenace. I use tweezers and a tooth brush to remove.

    It is usually caused by too much iron, low co2 or high light.

    Some looks like staghorn to me with the branching out. Hair algae usually single strains

    It's staghorn, color is grey/black/brown. Hair algae/spirogyra is usually green.
