    Shrimp getting a tan

Not sure what this guy is up to but he climbed up and hung out on the floating plants for a while.

Amanos are notorious for doing that, but I've never seen a cherry do that.

First time I've seen it myself - except for a wandering Amano when I first got them. I think he was trying to reach the tv remote. Was fine once I put him back in.

Cool! Another reasons not to fill the tank too high - had a few fish jump into the diorama behind my tank.

Never know. My CO2 isn't much but the floating plants had gotten pretty dense before I started more aggressive thinning. I was thinking the might interfere with gas exchange and trap too much heat now that it's warming up.

Shrimp aside, I LOVE the photo just because of the landscape he's on. With the floaters neatly shoring up against the emersed growth of moss and the (probably unintentional) blurry edges, makes it look very dreamlike. Great shot

Wish I could take credit. Just jammed it against the 3/4" strip of glass I can see above the water line and shot but I do like those little moss & riccia 'islands' myself.
