    Co2 not working

Have a uns mini regulator hooked up to a soda stream canister, from the regulator i have rigid tubing attached to a hydra aquatics stainless steel check valve, then soft fluval tubing going to a mr aqua spiral bubble counter, then finally going to a mini aquario neo diffuser.

It worked for a day or 2 then just stopped coming out. Its been over a week now and im getting worried for my plants and ruining the balance of my tank and therefore getting more algae.

I contacted uns and they said to adjust the needle valve which didnt work.

Have no idea regarding the uns, but maybe use a carbon alternative like excel till you get things squared away. Not nearly as effective, but may help maintain growth and health in the meantime.

    Would that damage the regulator?

Actually, you can test it out without a check valve just to see if the check valve is the problem.

Gotta think like a tech on this one and systemically figure out where the issue is. Start off by eliminating all variables post regulator. Unplug the solenoid and detach the hose from everything, literally just straight up hose coming from the reg. Put the hose in a cup of water and plug it in...are bubbles coming out? If yes, proceed. If no, then check your regulator. So if the check valve is the next thing in-line, attach the check valve and repeat the process. Getting bubbles? Proceed, if not, try a different check valve - etc etc

Ill try that too, but my regulator has a built in solenoid, will that be a problem?

Nah, just unplug the solenoid and detach everything. If you plug it back in and there's no bubbles coming from the line, inspect the regulator/solenoid. Make sure valves are open (needle and pressure - you actually tighten it to open it more and increase pressure). If that all looks good but you're not getting co2, then it could be an issue with your adapter/bottle. Do the soda stream bottles utilize a valve stem like paintball co2 canisters?

Of course, if you follow the procedure and bubbles do come out of the line, then move on down the line towards the tank rather than from the regulator backwards.

Quite possibly. Is your bubble counter the type with a check valve built in?

So yeah, disconnect from the check valve and see if youíre getting co2. If you are then you know itís the check valve.
