    99 cent store finds

Went to get superglue gel today (3 for 99 cents!) and found these!

    Venom Nitrile gloves:

I soapbox these aaaaaallll the time.

I used to only buy Falcon nitrile gloves. They are rugged, tear resistant, just a little stretchy, and very well textured. Unfortunately, Amazon hiked their price for (100) piecee from 9.98 to about 20 bucks, and they often sell out.

Lowe's sells them in convenient packs of 12 for 4 bucks, or 50 for 10 bucks. And they are thicker.

On the same but opposite side of the aisle, the 99 cent store had the 12 pack for 99 cents.

That is a way better deal than even buying the 100 pack for 18 bucks!

I do not use these as much aa I used to, but i might go back later today and clean them out. They had over 100 packs, and these things are my favorite. They are also hand washable and reusable. I can sometimes get a month out of a single pair, and being nitrile, they are chemical resistant.

    ProSeal Rtv silicone!

This is the pro seal brand. I cannot find anything about it online, but it does not have any of the verbage on it to worry about (no, "fast drying" or "mildew resistant). Before i go recommending this, I am going to test it.

It SHOULD be aquarium safe though, as it looks pretty plain.

    Pro seal black silicone:

Same poop, different diaper. Not sure on this one, but i am pretty sure it is also the same stuff we use. Also only a buck!

Just a warning. Gasket sealant isn't meant to hold force, it's to prevent leakage.

Dollar stores have so much great 'aquarium' stuff. I've gotten razor blades (for cleaning glass), zipties (for tying wood pieces together), microfiber cloths (for wiping drips off glass, and general dusting), outlet timers, super glue, sandwich tupperwares (for grindal worm cultures), smaller tupperwares (for shrimp), hydrogen peroxide, and the one near me sometimes has good strawberries at $1/pound. Which are for me while I watch the aquarium, LOL!

I bought a few nets, a glass "fish" bowl for medication or salt baths, razor blades, and fake fish tank decor (for QT tanks) from the 99 cent store as well
