    Possibly aquascaping for my school

Might set up a 20g long at my school, gonna be lo tech so its easy for them to maintain, if anyone has some equipment let me know. Again this is still a MAYBE and might not happen.

Also considering getting rams for the tank, but I've heard they're hard to keep alive

For a school tank, get the most bomb-proof livestock available - like Zebra Danios, White Cloud Mountain Minnows, that sort of thing. Understock it.

If you are there often. I would stock guppies then they can see the reproductive cycle plus they are hardy. If population jumps just net the femalesout. Low tech is definitely the way to go.

I had a science teacher that had a guppy aquarium that had plants and a vibrant micro-biology ecosystem going. He had us using it for slides to use with our microscopes. He had it so he only put water into the tank. That worked for the class.
