    The New Desktop Shrimp Bowl

Having this on my desk at work helps keep me sane. Watching thenshrimp swim round and round is sooo relaxing. Also cool when they cut through the canyon.

Still a work in progress. I had set it up perfectly at home but when I transported it to work everything moved around and the layout got messed up.

What's the size on that bowl? And I'm impressed with how full you've got it - I always need enough room to stick my hand into tanks without overflowing them!

Hehe, I use tweezers. If I need to stick my hand in Iíll do it during water changes.

Three months, two trims, 3 shrimp babies and now full overgrown jungle later, this is what my desktop bowl looks like now.

Since my worksite is 1/4 mile from Costa Mesa fairgrounds I got a chance to display this at the recent pet expo.

Time for a major trim. It did develop some green hair algae though. Besides that, everything is doing well in there. Put some really small trimmed pieces of anubias nana micro and they seem to have doubled in size. Really cool to be able to see the progress from first set up pics to now. Another cool benefit of this forum.

Let me know what you guys think.

pretty cool looking bowl, I need to finish the stand for my desk tank (unfortunately just for my home and not work) so I can stare at little shrimp while I work.... hmmmm, not sure if I'll get enough work done. Well I'l have to finish it to find out.

I wound up working on Sunday. During some waiting time for a process to complete I decided to do my maintenance on this bowl. Happy I did. I get to see my dragon stone and was also surprised to see newer additions to the shrimp family. I saw three tiny minuscule critters hovering around as I completed maintenance. Too small for pics. The anubias is growing nicely!

Was a crazy day at work today but... in a moment of calmness, I got a chance to see this beauty...

She is so big and carrying!

I totally forgot I had dropped one fire red in this bowl. I thought I had only put mutts. I guess clearing up all that jungle like brush helped to see this one again.

Another Sunday spent at the office another reasons why I love this hobby! My work desktop bowl is still going strong. Been a while since I posted anything on this so I thought I would share.

Pearlweed took over and a lot of green hair algae.

    After some goodíol elbow grease...

    And then this majestic creature...

The water isnít as clear as I would like it to be but it will do. Going to add a home-made filter later on to help with this. Still more algae I have to clear. Iíll update pics with filter.

This is impressive. How you all are making it happen is quite amazing. Any additional materials will be highly appreciated.
