I am pooped. About 4 trips to lowe's today for various fittings. NO ONE stocks a threaded ball valve, anymore. NOBODY. for that matter, no one stocks 3way valves in half inch or 3/4. If any of those were available, my plumbing job would have been easier, taken up less space, and i imagine cost a little less.

    I am tired.

    I need to :

    1) finish the rock work.
    2) build the canopy
    3) build the electrical box
    3b) build the pi system
    4) cycle for a month.
    5) figure out what the heck i do next.

My canopy frame using electrical super struts (i was going to use post masters by master halco, but these are stronger, and less expensive, and have more access points/holes) and scissor joints with 2x6s.

This took a whole lot longer to complete, so i might skin it on Sunday.

I might finish the display plumbing tonight or tomorrow.

    (No pictures yet)

Painted the inside of the back of the stand, drilled an access hole and D'OHX DRILLED THE CORNER UPSIDE DOWN!

Painted the frame of the canopy.

I took a break, had a shower and experienced a eureka moment of how to make the appearance of the canopy which I am interested in easily, as well as convert it to a suspended canopy when we move to the new house.

Moved the tank and stand to the new location. It does not look as picturesque as it did in its original spot, so depending on what my wife says about it, I might move it back.

Another good day and a tired evening,

Carpentry always amuses me. I listen to folks talk about it with ease and care, and it takes me an hour to two hours to get a couple basic things done at a time.

I would love to do this stuff day in and day out, but I know zi would never get around to doing any of it for myself.

The scape is still eluding me about how I am going to properly incorporate everything into it.

Ordered the sprinkler pump, power strip (I have decided against having a computer driven reef system at its time... it will take too long to complete). Ordered some more lighting pieces.

Oh man oh man oh man.

As long as I do not get any hangups, I think I can finish this by next weekend.

I am a month over on my timeline (sick twice between start and now), laterally under intended tech (I am ditching coding a custom switch board and pi controller), but still about where I figured my budget would be - maybe a bit under if I can use some of the things which I bought on other projets as well.

I am nearing completion. Everything I have tested is working the way it should. The 10 days.

I just have to be patient.

The way i did the canopy makes me want to reskin the stand. My braain envisioned it that way, but felt it would be too difficult. Now that the canopy happened how I wanted it to, I want to do the same with the stand.

Beautiful thing about skinning a frame is that I can just start work on it after I finish everything else.

I know it's not Lowe's but I think Grainger stocks 3 way ball valves in different sizes.

Actually, Lowe's has a stake in Grainger.

I will double check their product catalog. I didnt think to check there.

*blah. Who am i kidding. It's too late for that. I already cemented all the pvc.
