    Current state of my tank

I only have the one tank and don't do much except keep it cleaning and trimming. It changes a lot depending on which plants have the upper hand but looks like the crypts and floaters finally won the battle.

It looks very nice! I love floaters in a new set up..they just absorbed all the excess nutrients

Tired of looking at my tank yet? Sorry, I only have the one so I shoot it every month or two. It does change a bit but looks like the crypts are the winners in the plant department. There are mosses and some other stuff growing on the cork floating up top, and a few tiny carpet plants here and there but the crypts rule.

I did catch most of my guppies and gave them away. One or two females I have to trap. They breed like crazy and load the tank. I been adding some cool fish the last month or so and can't wait to see them all colored up.

Was doing a water change so took a snap of some of the moss growing on some floating cork in my tank. This stuff is growing between the top of the cork and the bottom of the glass canopy. The moss, and a few other plants started out attaching to the sides of the cork and gradually 'crawled' up on top.

I wouldn't mind sitting on that chair but pretty sure the Amano Shrimp would eventually eat me - probably some cosmic justice in that considering all the shrimp I've eaten.

It is interesting how in a lightly managed tank - right now I only pinch off some leaves now and then and dump some of the floaters the plants that dominate through cycles. The crypts seem to have become a fixture but right now the riccia fluitans that I thought was gone took off and now I've got a thick mat starting to grow in a few places. Some of the foreground plants that were carpeting vanished and a pocket of anubias nana is taking off at the back of the tank under a driftwood overhang. Sometimes unhappy when stuff I like doesn't make it but then I get surprises. The few buce cuttings I had vanished for months then I found 2 small ones that attached to my floating cork and started growing emersed a had long trailing roots halfway down the tank. Sorry for the ramble. Long day.

Just a 29 gal. I have one of those little 45g Fluval CO2 kits which I have a love hate relationship with.
