    LFS outside of the US?

I know someone posted a cool thread with pics from a store in Japan recently. Does anyone know of other stores outside of the US? I'm in Taipei right now and will be in Hong Kong next week. I know Taiwan has a lot of shrimp breeders, so I'm assuming there should be some good stores there. Any info would be appreciated!

In Taipei, google aquarium shops on Minquan East Road near the Minquan Bridge next the Songshan airport. There is something like 15-20 aquarium shops on that street.

In Hong Kong, look up Goldfish Market. Tons of shops.

Thanks for the info. I ended up visiting Minquan East Road in Taipei. Luckily my cousin was able to drive me so I didn't have to try to find my way there.

Will try to visit the Goldfish market in HK.

Minquan East Road is literally a whole row of LFS it was pretty awesome. If you're in still in Taipei and interested in shrimp I would recommend checking out the MK Breed near Taoyuan airport.

There have a street name—Tung Choi Street in HK, a lot of LFS right there, some stories are inside the building. You may look up the YouTube, there have some video talking about the place.

I wonder if you can go into China main land. There have a city name Guangzhou, just 2-3hours away from HK by train. The tropical fish market right there is a haven for a hobbyist. Few hundred stories in the market.

In Hong Kong many aquarium shops are at Tung Choi Street in Mong Kowk, very close to the subway exit.

Many years back I managed to get livestock (beautiful saltwater fish and discus fish at quite low prices) and plants back through LAX, but I never used carry-on but check-in luggage. I wrote "ornamental fish for personal enjoyment" without problem. I did not use warming packets but I should have.

If you put it in carry-on you will certainly be rejected.

I don't know if I were just lucky or such is routinely allowed.

There are shops both downstairs and upstairs. The latter is higher class stuffs.

If you try let us know how it turned out. I suggest that you buy only unique and/or cheaper stuffs.

You will feel like you were in a dream when you are there. The whole place is a surreal dreamland for the aquarist of all types, planted, salt water, freshwater, reef...

Didn't get a chance to post a reply while I was there. (Back in the US now.) But thank you everyone for your suggestions! I was able to visit Minquan East Road in Taipei as well as Tung Choi Street in HK. I'm definitely gonna have to visit Guangzhou to see that fish market next time! I'll try to post some pictures that I took soon.
