I plan on building a pond for the first time! I also plan on maybe fixing my scratched tank but taking it apart and working on it... but thatís a 99.9% I wonít do. I want to purchase a nice regulator and a better filter since my eheim is the worst when cleaning and trying to prime it. Oh, and I plan on hopefully moving out of my brothers house lol.

I’m going to get fatter, grumpier, and balder... not necessarily in that order.... my bar is set low to ensure success!

My 2019 goal is to be happy with my one, large tank and grow arms that are at least 6Ē longer in order to deal with my very poor planning of having all the plants that need the most trimming in the worst possible place, lol.

In addition to that, I want to learn more about plants I can attach to the emergent wood so the growth above the water is as nice as the stuff below the water.

I also want to attend as many meets as possible and help the newbies with their tanks!
I am an old dog trying to learn some new tricks...

My only plan for anything new is to set up this 10 gallon nano tank and do it right. I'm kind of second guessing my choice to use Fluval Stratum but the reviews seem to be mixed. Hoping to get some high quality shrimp breeding going in it as well as a beautiful aquascape. Leaning towards keeping Bloody Mary neo's along with tangerine tigers for variety. Wanted green jade neo's but the morph seems to be unstable.

Other than that, still trying to hit the 40 breeder hard with consistent maintenance. Was able to cure the "black plague" algae that infested the tank but now there's green dust/film algae that's actually on the plants...if it's not one thing it's another.

My main goal is to downsize significantly. Now that i have experienced owning a mid size reef, i truly feel that nanos are still the most enjoyable (and all the more less costly).
As my wife and I are planning to move again in the next year, or very shortly into 2020, I am hoping to make the move that much simpler by going everything back to small.

Been there done that (minus the balding) for 2018. Gonna have to attempt to go the other way. We'll see...

I plan on setting up my first saltwater tank as well as setting up 3: 15 gallon tanks for breeding nano fish species and getting a CO2 system!

I will probably be getting into a lot more trouble buying more tanks and fish but I have a tendency to change plans at the last minute so who knows what will actually happen

I also am planning to move by 2020 so I totally get downsizing. As much as I want to have a fish room I know it will be a pain to try and move with a ton of tanks, plants, hsrdscape, ect.

I am going to set up the 20 long that I bought earlier this year. I'd wanted to set it up over the summer, but that didn't happen. I'm still missing parts, though.

So, yeah! 2019 will be all for the 20 long!! And the 10 and the two 2.5's, but not the 4g. It looks awesome as it is.

My plan for 2019 is to set up quarantine tank and my indoor mini pond for culling my shrimp in the next couple weeks or so.

My long term goals are to get more active scape but also learn more about water parameters for shrimp and perfecting my own water parameters.

On hobby/SCAPE related goals. For me it would be to get out to at least a meeting or two and to find a place to raise more plants, fish, and shrimp I can trade or sell. I use to love to breed fish and would like to be able to tackle breeding some of the pencil fish and possibly Otocinclus cocama if I can find some of those. Tight quarters and budget at home so have to see what happens.

I've got a bunch of non-hobby related projects which might affect this. I'm getting older and looking at how to supplement my money. I also may be faced with a job change and will be 60 soon. I've had quite a few friends in this age group who once out of work have not been able to get regularly employed again. Anyway I picked up a small desktop CNC and first week of January will be working my way through the Adobe Fusion 360 tutorials to see if I can make dollhouse or gamer miniatures I can sell on etsy or ebay. If it works out I'll use any money I earn to expand and also add a small desktop 3D printer - all in my guest bedroom so limited on product size/noise and dust I can generate but I'm hopeful.
