    Canister filter Question?

So i have a polar arurora with the assisted pump and I've been pumping it for quite some time i hear water in the canister but not half full but pip leading to tank are full of water. The Question being is it okey to turn on the canister filter or complete hand pumping?

Those manual primers crack me up. Some are more finicky than others. At the end of the day, I prefer to just fill up the canister with water in order to create a solid vacuum, and then prime from there.

Turning the pump on in a less than ideal situation seldom does any damage at all. Just do not keep it running indefinitely if you have not got water running in it.
