    ADA Mini M

Figured now is a good time to start a journal. I went with an ADA system using the Mini M.

    SYSTEM

    ADA Mini M
    ADA 36cm clear cabinet
    ADA Aquasky G 361
    ADA Superjet Es-300 Spin
    2L ADA Bio Rio
    ADA Bubble Counter
    ADA Pollen Glass Mini
    NA Regulator with Solenoid
    4lb Co2 Bottle

    SUBSTRATE

ADA 2L Power Sand Special S
ADA 3L Amazonia Soil Powder Type

    PLANTS

    Rotala H'Ra
    Rotala Colorata
    Rotala Wallichi
    Rotala Sp Green
    Rotala Magenta
    Rotala Mini Butterfly
    Rotala Macrandra Green
    Rotala Enie
    Rotala Fujian
    Myriophyllum Guyana Mini
    Glossostigma Elatinoides

I am using ADA's fertilizer regimen. Currently dosing 1ml of Brighty K and Green Brighty Mineral daily. Lights are on for 10hrs and co2 is at 1bps.

Thanks, it is not custom. ADA makes it to fit the Mini M tank.

Just wanted to update the 36cm and share an addition.

Still at one pump (1ml) of each Brighty K and Green Brighty Mineral. Plants are still showing good growth and algae is very minimal.

I added a 30cm system, not really sure how I will go about scaping this one.

    ADA 30W
    ADA 30cm Clear Cabinet
    ADA Aquasky G 301
    ADA Superjet ES-150
    ADA Bio Rio
    ADA Bubble Counter
    ADA Pollen Glass Mini

Will be using same substrate system and dosing system.

    ADA Power Sand Special-S 2L
    ADA Amazonia Powder Type 3L

I have to order the necessary splitter and Speed valves to run both tanks off of the same C02 bottle and will upgrade to a 10lb tank also.

Thanks man. I'm waiting on all the goodies for the 30w now, and the Mini M is growing. Not a whole lot going on. I did all Tissue Culture and it took a while for them to catch on but now the stems are showing some good vertical growth. Going to let the wife have in on scaping the 30w.

Refilled the co2 this morning and upped rate to 2 bubbles per second as the stems are really taking off. Just a FTS.

So my wife wants a sand foreground and an all red background. After browsing the web she saw a tank like that and apparently she thinks it looks like Fall.. I've got a bag of Laplata sand, more Power Sand and Aquasoil. Once I get the rest of parts for splitting the co2 I'm going to take pictures as she (I) scape the 30w.

I'm thinking I'll go with a Ludwigia Super Red, Rotala Colorata, and Rotala Mini Butterfly mix. Thoughts?

All 3 plant selections are great, I would put the Ludwigia and rotala Colorata as far back as you can plant them since their foliage are larger than the Butterflies. Maybe 1 or 2 clusters of AR mini as well. That would give it a more natural look from the front.

So tomorrow will be 14 days since the tank was setup, this is how it sits.

    Day 1

    Day 13

All of the plants are doing what they are supposed to. Glosso has just about carpeted the whole foreground while the Rotala are still thickening and spreading. Getting some vertical growth but not too much yet. The Mini Guyana has done really well so far, didn't know what to expect being the first time I used this plant.

Thank you, I know alot of people dislike the fertilizers they sell but it's one of the simplest systems I've used.

What is your experience and how do you like the spin type lilly? I'm thinking about getting one for my betta fishes. Has it clogged or started to fill up w/ algae? Is it enough flow?
    Any regrets?

Works great, plenty of flow though that is mostly determined by your filter. I dont have much algae but it stays clean and doesn't clog.

Growth is super dense but these stems do not want to grow vertically!
