    30g Bucket Pond

    I am using this pond as a grow out for all mu java moss and naja grass also puttin putting 10x ghost shrimp and 4x long finned zebra danios
    The netting just in case for animals not to go in

    Yeah, I hear you. Trying to keep my 150 pond cool too. Try more plants and a shade cloth.

    Floating plants help keep the pond cool and help cut down evap. Hyacinth and water lettuce work best on larger ponds and Frogbit for smaller.

    Saw rubins aquarium (I think thatís the name) our in Culver City, they had a lot of outdoor pong floaters. Donít really like their store tho... just mho

    Yes, najas is a floater, but the wrong kind to help keep your pond cool because it sits below the water line, not above it to help shade.

    I think you are missing the point. A breeder box with "diy moss floaters." Won't cool your tank, but sound like a good addition. I suppose it just depends what your goal is, sounded like you were concerned with heat. Maybe not so much.

    Btw +1 for shade cloth/mesh cloth.

    No money spent if you go to a meet, there is almost always free floaters/plants. That is after all one of the biggest perks to participating in local club activities.
