    Two nano planted tank 2.0

The tanks are 6.8g Petco Imaginarium Brand with backs sump.
Modified back wall sump for better flow. Using combination of blue filter, white thick fine filter and coarse sponge (to elevate the filters pads higher on first stage of filtration. Using Seachem Matrix on second stage of filter.
Lights are Chihiros RGB30 on 3rd lowest setting out of a possible 7.
    Soil is ADA Aquasoil Powder.
Using inline GLA CO2 diffuser with GLA 3 manifold system (two for this tank one for the dragonstone tank).
    Cobalt 75w Neo-Therm Aquarium Heater
One tank currently has Seiryu stone, Dwarf Hairgrass and Myriophyllum SP Mini Guyana. Livestock includes 24K Goldenback Neocaridina, kubotai rasbora and ottos.
Other tank currently has wood centerpiece with AR Mini, Ludwigia SP Red, mini pellia, fissiden, Lamandau Mini Purple, Belindae Mini, and Mini Bolbitis. Livestock includes Bloody Mary Neocaridina, Cardinal Tetras and ottos.

Looks nice. How is the Ludwigia doing? I'm about to pull mine out of my 20G because it is too big/grows too fast for the tank. Seems like you'd have to trim it twice a week in a nano, LOL.

Edited because I saw your second post. Stem plants are pretty, but SO MUCH WORK.

I am currently re-trimming every weeks. Only keeping a couple of stems is a lot more manageable. Also with lower lights they're not growing so fast. Fertilizing with a light EI dosing and a little of Seachem Iron to help maintain the color.

Walk down memory lane about a year ago when I started back in the hobby. My original two nano tanks.

Current pictures of the original tanks now. Just low tech, no more CO2.

The tanks look great! Are you concerned at all about overstocking?

    Thank you Don!
My back chambers are full of filters pad/sponge/biomedia, so not too concerned. Filter pads are replaced and do 50% water change weekly. Shrimps gets to eat whatever the fish don't. Everyone seems healthy and happy so far.

That's awesome, I'm starting to think about the stocking in my 8g nano (cycling is finally done) so your experience is super helpful--thanks!!!

Keep in mind my tank has been up and running a few months prior to stocking heavily. I have enough bio media back there to support a bigger tank. Also upgraded pump to 80gph for better flow as well. Lots of plants help too.

I really enjoyed the pictures. Nice duo set up! I think I like the smaller set ups like yours better than the big tanks. It's just that much easier to deal. I'm on my 3rd month with the my 150,SMH, LOL!

    Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks Victor,
Reason I like small tanks is that I can have a bunch of different themes with different livestock.

Been a while since I update these two tanks. Probably need clean up and trim this weekend... hopefully.

Need to trim the Myriohyllum SP Guyana again (left tank). Might take some AR mini and swap it into the Blyxa Japonica spots just to break up the green. (This is my son's tank, he likes green so I need to convince him to add other colors . Had a patch of mini Pellia mysteriously appear and grow onto the dwarf hairgrass, looks cool so I'm leaving it there. The Goldenback Neocaridina are doing great in this tank, considering it full EI and 50% weekly water changes, not to mention there fishes in here. Probably start culling out the lesser color shrimps soon. Might add some Orange Eye Royal Blue Tigers in the future if they I get some babies from my other tank. My son likes their eyes.

As for the right side tank, this is my daughter's tank, she wants everything in it. More colors the better. Need to clean up all the AR mini, it's getting out of hand. I removed all the Ludwigia Super Red Mini. Got tired of trimming them in this tank, colors were so so. Can't crank up the lights pass 30 PAR or else I get algae on the wood and buces. White Anubias tissue cultured all melted, just only a little of the root stubs are left. Threw them in one of my garage tank, hopefully one day they recover. Grabbed some anubias & buces from other tanks and plopped them in it place. The Bloody Mary Neocaridina in this tank are all gone. I either screwed up with dosing too much Iron (after more reading dosing Iron doesn't bring out the red so I stopped) or the the Cardinal Tetras ate them all. Either way will add more once I have more expendable bloody mary babies from my 5g tank. Will start to really cull this tank soon, there's a certain red color(shade and transparency) I want to aim for, just not enough time in a day... Still haven't found the time to set up my 10 gallon Bloody Mary tank in the garage yet. Most likely pick out about the top 10 best Bloody Mary's from my 5 gallon and see how that goes.

    Thanks for looking, enjoy!
