    Alder cones

I was thinking about trying some Alder cones in one of my shrimp tanks. I've read some pretty good things about them. Anybody know of a local source?

IAL is more beneficial. You should be able to find alder cones locally though. Collect, wash, bake, wash... use!

Aurantia park in highland, Ca. There is one with cones on the tree behind the men's restroom. A white alder.

I am headed there Saturday morning to pick a couple bags worth.

Which small lake do you speak of . I've been looking for an alder tree forever and I always come up empty. Haven't tried mile square yet though? If you could mark it on this map I will go treasure hunting. Thanks in advance!

there are two lakes there only, the others are from the golf courses.

Alders trees are around the smaller lake, corner of Euclid and Warner.

The one next door. Yucaipa regional has the water slides and the lakes, but charges an entrance fee. Yucaipa community is right next door and NO charge to enter!
