    More Shrimp! Lol

Whats up everyone? I'm thinking I am going to expand my shrimp collection a bit, but having a hard time making up my mind so I thought I'd ask for some input. Neocaridina of course.
So what do you guys think: Black Rose or Green Jade?
Also, anyone know of a decent source for the Green Jade? I can find the Black Rose from several different vendors, but those Green Jades are out of stock everywhere right now it seems.

Those are exceptional specimens but like Carlo said the colors are not stable. I believe the color also depends on the diet.

The Black Rose are much more stable than the Green Jades. The Green Jades is one of the newest lines and still needs further selective breeding to solidify the green in the picture. From my research they usually range from Dark DARK Green to almost yellow like Goldback's. Would be doing more culling with the Green Jades. The Black Rose from what I have heard occasionally drops chocolates, bloody's, and carbons.
I found some Green Jades in stock at TheShrimpFarm. I'm communicating with the owner, might be able to arrange a group buy on the Green Jades and other shrimp as well.

Black Rose are awesome, except everything in the tank should probably be light colored so you could see them better.

I used to had green jade last year from Joe aqua, got them breed but none of the babies looks as close as the mama. More like translucent green.

Ask Danielle or dazalea at shrimpspot, she mentioned her green jade has low culling rate.

I also used to had black neo, but they came from blue diamond, sometimes they throw blue diamond sometimes blue carbon. Good thing those 2 color(black and blue) you could mix them in one tank without having wild neo.

The bloody mary i got from Joe Aqua recently also throw black neo.

I would go with green jade if the seller can make sure the culling rate is low.

Ya, I know the green jades will take some work. I'm kinda leaning towards the black rose, black is one of my favorite colors.
And thats interesting to hear about your Bloody's from Joes Aqua, mine have been throwing out nothing but more bloody's.

Black rose throw a lot of different shrimp from joes. Im getting chocolates to full black shrimp. Mixture also has blue diamonds and dark chocolates when held to a light. 30 percent are pure black.

Green jades are hit and miss . They look like dark greenish blue when stressed and yellowish . A bit hard to get a pure green shrimp. Need lots of culling Thats why you see lots of single shots. Greenish yellow are common in a colony
To cull or not to cull that is the question.

Thanks When you get solid ones line these, they tend to show a variety of greens, some dark blue green, some emerald, some with speckling of yellow like gold leaf
