Perhaps placing the wood more to the left, any stones for the scape?
Personally I liked the picture of the wood on the picture below the picture of the cabinet that had the equipment

While I'm not generally a fan of excessive use of silicone, I'm pretty impressed for the money spent.

There are several custom pieces that i have been interested in doing, and i think it would be worth submitting to them. Very happy such beautiful results.

I saw that too. But after the plants grow in I don't notice it anymore.

For the purpose of dosing accuracy. Your tank is less than 30 gallons. A 30 breeder is 36 x 18 x 12. I would estimate you are in the ballpark of 28 gallons.

    @cjbart1009

Filtration is an eheim pro 4+ 600 and still deciding if I’m gonna use a reactor or a diffuser.

Tank is 12" tall and a fairly large volume for that height co2 diffusal will be tricky with such limited height. I would without question go with a reactor.

Lighting is a green element quad evo 3w led. Very bright light,

iirc you can use current trulumen dimmers with this light, I suggest picking one up iirc it's $17 on auction sites.

Stand made by Disco Fan. (Thanks again Jorge)

Jorge makes some nice stands. I will definitely inquire for future tank builds.

Any recommendation for ferts? I’m leaning towards the thrive S by nilocg.

EI via dry ferts, use measuring spoons or scale, small cup for mixing solution.
after reading the question below, depending on the plants you choose you may not have to dose nutrients at all with regular water changes or Thrive S may be exactly what you need. I assume you plan to keep shrimp or wouldn't be buying S.

My tap is at 6 kh, 8-9 gh and Ph is about 7.2-7.4. Haven’t decided on the Plants yet but will definitely be growing a carpet of either Monte Carlo or eleocharis belem.

If you can try to get KH, GH and PH down. Between the ranges KH 0-2, GH 2-5, PH 6-7

You're 100% right. Weird tank size, but doesn't matter if you hang your lights and they have decent spread.

It was the most I could do with the space I had. I couldíve made a wider or taller tank but Iím pretty happy with how this came out. I would prefer it to be 4í long but I only have 40Ē of space to work with.

Thanks for the suggestion @Zenzu for the dimmers. Will check them out. I do plan to keep shrimp primarily and maybe add some Nano fish that are compatible once the population has been established in the tank.

Looks like a pretty high bioload, you're going to want to have an aggressive water change schedule!

    New high tech tank

Tank is running. Nothing in it besides Xmas moss on the wood and some ghost shrimp. I tested the water and I got an ammonia reading somewhere between 0 and 0.25ppm, 0 nitrites and 5ppm nitrates.

Also after a day with the aquasoil my kh dropped to 5 gh is 8 and ph is at 7.0

    Edit:

Just realized that I havenít tested tap for nitrates. Iíve been using RO before and got used to it. Will test the tap and post results later.
