    Question EI Dosing and Shrimps

Hi, I would like to know if anyone has been doing EI dosing and keeping shrimps for a long time(over 2 yrs). I was going to put taiwan bees in my 20 gal long planted tank with EI dosing but I'm hesitant. So, I'm curious what's other experience with this?

    Thanks.

CSM+B and Nitrates can cause problems. Why not just purchase Thrive shrimp?

Yea, those are my concern. I just bought the dry fertilizer mixes. I didn't buy thrive.

The answers are out there, I did research many years ago and was able to find several threads with ferts regiments that are suitable for most shrimp.

I've never had a problem dosing nutrients with shrimp. I had some crystal reds, crystal blacks, orange pumpkins, and red cherries in my 29g dutch that I dosed very high, the shrimp were fine until the german blue ram decided he liked the taste of shrimp. Good thing they were culls, lol.

Yes, instead of dosing every day, I'm going to dose once or twice per week and see what happens. The monte carlo is recovering from melt down. I'm also monitoring the TDS just out of curiosity.
