    Tank Seller

    Hey all,

    Large tannks...

So a while back someone was posting about looking for a tank seller in So Cal. They found someone with a really good deal on 100 gallon or there about tanks, made in SoCal from my understanding. Does anyone know them?

    Small tanks....

Also, does anyone have a good line on 5 or 10 tanks around 5 gal? And maybe the same in 2.5 gallon range? I am looking for fairly inexpensive (current lead is Penn Plex or Fluval Chi). I am starting a Killifish and Shrimp breeding setup... so am looking around, but my wife is tired of lack of symmetry in my office lol.

    Thanks all!

Wait are you looking for 5-10 tanks in the 5 gal range? I'm confused because you said you're looking at a Fluval Chi and I can't imagine that being the most affordable way to do bulk 5G tank

Yep! As odd as it sounds... they look nice once you strip all the junk. The plain tank goes for a little more than $40 each (I want to run air and use other lights). And they have a cheap lid that is useful. I would prefer cheaper... but a less appealing looking 5,5g seems to run at $30 in most stores I have looked at... and that seems insane. I would like them to look nice. Heck I thought of buying the fluval flora base tanks the same way. But I know there needs to be some better options that are cheaper and look nice.

I hear ya. I couldn't stand the look of traditional cheap tanks so I stripped these little 3.7 gallon tanks down and converted the back to a hamburg matten style air filter with Seachem Matrix and heater compartment.
Was able to buy these little tanks for about $28 at Petco a few months back.

A bit off topic...What kind of killifish are you planning on breeding?

That all depends on what I can get a hold of. What I want to do are aphyosemion herzogi, Fundulopanchax*walkeri, aphanius mento and some type of annual. Not sure though.

I don't know if Aquatic Warehouse does ultum nature or other rimless manufacturer (if you don't mind rimless) or check with Fountains (since they want to be a club supporter) and see if they will offer a discount on multiple tanks of a certain size. Remember we need to support the "little guy" as much as the bulk chain stores.

The local shops are where I will be focusing, though we shall have to see.

Anybody remember about the larger tanks I was referring to?
