    Found an unknown critter

Found this guy in my shrimp tank. Not sure where he came from. Looks like some kind of crayfish..

He's really small, so couldn't get good photos. There are two lines going down the tail, if looked from top-down. Any ideas?

Certainly does look like a dwarf blue cray, which are sometimes brown when juvies. Have you placed anything into the tank recently? It may have hitchhiked

Crazy, I've never seen crayfish babies. But I guess you have some now somehow.

Haha, yeah. I can't find him anymore. Hoping he'll survive for me to see him grow (I'm not feeding this shrimp tank a whole lot).

It happened to me like a year ago in my shrimp tank, hitchhiker.

mine is not critter is small baby fish, not one but two. Now they are big ,over 1 year old and still alive.

Found out is not rasbora as everyone mentioned in this forum. But black neon tetra.

Its random, its funny and Im lucky they are still alive.

I can't find him anymore! Hopefully, he won't starve and come out when he's bigger.

This looks like a scud to me possibly. It's hard to tell. I've been told they won't harm shrimp, but they eat the same sorts of things so be wary of competition feeding. They can also do a number on mosses if you let them get plentiful enough.
