    Fake Glossostigma?

    Hey guys,

So I ordered these seed from ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aquarium-Fis...s/401334533287
and i worked very well, I didn't use co2 and it grew like crazy (see photos). I used it for my old tank awhile back, I might use the seed again..

This guy created a youtube video for it I am not sure if he's just advising it for the seller.

My questions is... anyone have experience with these seed? In term on long-term care/maintenance/look? Will it die out after it's fully grown?

    Thanks,
    Sonny

Had them growth for 3 or 4 months with co2 tank in it. It grew tall like hygrophila ,didn't die like what most people said. I just threw them all from my tank, not a carpet plant for sure.

You could see from your picture, its start growing as long leaves (hygrophila looks alike), not a carpet plant.
Iam a newbie looking for guidance from all senior

They're a joke. Hc and ge are both "available" in the "seed form" but they are completely fake.

I tried 3 different varieties of each and they are fake and extremely dominant invasive.

They sprout, they grow, and then you have to trim them twice a week or they grow like dandelion weeds.

    Beware. You have been warned.

I ordered from 3 different vendors and to my surprise, they sprouted immediately. Interestingly, it seems the seeds are coated in some sort of gelatin or something. As soon as I dropped them in, the seeds started swelling and looking like frog eggs. They stick to just about anything and in fact, some of my shrimp got their legs stuck. Never figured out what they were but definitely not glosso. I tossed them as well

    Fake Glossostigma?

Btw: they looked just like the OP's pics but ended up getting taller. Did yours stay that short?

Seriously. That ooze was weird. I believe it is a natural reaction they secrete in order to float in water streams down a river, etc.

    Awful stuff.

It's seed and it will float so you have to do DSM. Mine was lush and had to trim it all the time.

Hmmm...that's odd, seems yours were different. Mine were like Nick Shades' seeds. They didn't float at all but immediately swelled with water until the seeds were suspended in the center of a clear jelly. They sank on their own soon after and stuck to wherever they landed and sprouted.
