I spot treated with double dose of excel after weekly water change.

I've used hydrogen peroxide before and it was too strong and killed my fissidens and some bucep. Never again will i use h2o2.

I have had some moss die back a little when I got a bit too heavy with the Excel - not sure if others have seen the same but be aware.

I have had some BBA and it grows if I am careless with feeding or pulling out too many of the floaters. I note that when I feed the plants, use CO2 and let the floating plants grow a bit wild all the BBA is invisible as they can't handle the competition. I pulled out too much of the floaters recently and had to pinch off a few leaves last night. The peroxide helps if you are careful - I overdid it once and now i use a bottle like this to squire right on the spots - probably a pippete would work very well and not want to float as much.

I am bad because I leave at least one light on around the clock but when the plants are growing fast the BBA just doesn't grow. It may be my imagination (maybe others can verify) the shrimp don't love eating BBA but if I skip feeding they munch on it a lot more.

Yeah I donít specifically feed the amano shrimp but they arenít eating bba. I put an algae water in sometimes but probably not enough. The snails all tend to get more than the Otos or shrimp.
