No liner here. I initially had those preformed liners but it wasnít a snug fit. I still used it anyway. During last years rainy season as I was doing a total water change the liner started floating. The wine barrel was holding water. Decided to ditch the liner from then on.

Yours looks awesome! I like how the waterfall is outside the barrel. I made mine inside and it takes up a lot of space. You didnít need a liner? Iím looking for stocking options now.https://youtu.be/9b2W7VSbapA

Here's the pond I just started yesterday. Got a 75 gallon tub from a LFS that closed down recently and built a shell around it. T

Probably going to add my red bellied dace that are currently in my outdoor 60 gallon algae tank. They are doing well and are breeding in there for the past 2 seasons.

Still have to get some plants for the pond and let it cycle a bit before transferring the fish over.

Do you guys use snails for the outdoor ponds? Which type would you use? I was looking to see where I can pick up a snail or two for an outdoor tub pond.

I have some pond snails in my outdoor tank and I just added some orange poso rabbit snails a month ago bit those are tropical and will likely die if I don't use a heater. I have dozens of them though so no biggie.

Here’s what I got going. Nothing fancy, just aquatic life. The smaller gray one had a couple of large goldfish till a coon got to them then took a bath in the aquarium outside full of toad tadpoles and a handful of mollies. Maybe more in there. Can see in it. The larger black pond/waterfall I just put in a week ago and need power to it which I plan on doing within a few days. MJ 1200 and a double sponge filter keeps the little gray thing crystal clear. Going to run a Tetra submersible on the larger one with a Jeboa dct4000. Sorry for sideways pictures. When I have aquariums set up. They aren’t too far off from being ponds in a tank. A scalper I am not. I really believe saltwater is easier to maintain than a beautifully planted tank.
