I just started my Fertilization routine for my tanks but I learned I had too much Phosphate, which plants like, but in my tank they did not soak up very fast. So they started to look dull and I had an algae outbreak.
I do 20% water change every Sunday.

I believe the yellowing and new growth of leaf are due to nitrogen deficiency. But think i added too much nitrogen yesterday (an extra 2 drops). My assassin snails were acting weird and curling up. So i did an emergency 20% water change. Assassin snail started acting normal again after water change.

I guess i got to wait and see if the leaf will turn back to green.

    TDS is now 310.

I would dose some cal, mag, and iron as well. Those white worms are harmless deitrius worms. A lot of times with Buce, old leaves yellow and drop, but this makes way for new leaves... as far as I can tell everything looks fine.

    Update tank shot

All the white worms are gone
    most Diatomes are gone

I had a crash a couple weeks ago that cause a bloom of algae but it's gone now. Found out I had put active carbon instead of purigen. So it was sucking up all my fert. I took the carbon out and it leaked all the ferts back into the water column.

Bba started to grow after that and continue to slowly grow... don't know why...
increased co2 injection yesterday to ph 6.8 @ 8dkh. My julii cories and oto seems fine with this level of co2.

Dark skeleton king is about to open up its new leaf. Some of the buce new stems growth is changing to red. One flower bud pop up from kedagang purple. Brownie Firebird is growing black leaves. Brownie Jade is growing dark greenish jade color leaf. Mini coin in the back growing multi color leaf.

Mini Pelia is growing pretty fast.
Fissiden nobilus is taking forever to grow.
    Hc is filling in slowly.
I've been pulling out extra mini xmas moss. Its the fastest growing plant in there.

I'm injecting a lot of co2 (guessing around 40ppm+, 8dkh from 8ph to 6.8ph) and dosing macro+micro. but I am still getting green fuzzy algae and bba. Plants are growing super fast and so is the algae. I can only think it's the light. So much light that plants can't grow fast enough to suck up all the nutrients. I tried lower dosing of fert but it still cause different kind of algae to appear. So I decided to move my light higher. Slower plant growth but no algae.

Just did one two punch with h2o2 and excel with 50% water change. Moved the light up higher.

Dark kishii new leaf is about half the size of the original leaf. I don't know if the leaf size will grow bigger as it matures.

Color is definitely a lot brighter. Older leaf looks more dull. Their is a lot more concentration of the white dots on the new leaf compare to the old one.

New leaf definitely looks similar to vasteq submerged dark kishiii leaf with the high concentration of white dots. may need to start dosing iron to make all my buces stems turn more redish/pinkish.

where would i get cal, mag, and iron from? GH booster? Iron Chelate? Will i be mixing these in with my micro ferts? Doesn't micro already contain these?

I got mine at The Reef in Anaheim. Usually have quite a few. Not sure on how to tell the gender.

Snail are hermaphroditic, so they are both sexes. No way to avoid the eggs if they are healthy- just scrape them off if they bug you, or get a small loach-- my sidthimunki used to gobble them up.
I am an old dog trying to learn some new tricks...
