Nice setup. Been debating on whether to pull the trigger on this tank. BTW, is that the light that it comes with?

Really nice aquascape. It's amazing what can be done with such a small tank. Almost bought one just recently. Do you do any dosing of fertilizers?

    Thank you very much.

At first I was just dosing SeaChem Flourish a couple times of week, but then I found I was getting a bit of hair algae. I stopped dosing it and the hair algae tapered off. I also was dosing SeaChem Excel every other day. Now I hardly dose Excel, the plant load and fauna load seem to be doing a great job of keeping everything in check. The plants are doing great under the stock light.

Hey everyone, what is the best way to plug the bottom slit (bypass hole) in the Fluval Spec V if you already have water in there

I used a piece of thin black plastic (cut from a plastic container I bought at the dollar store) and used some super glue gel on the edges to adhere it on the filter side. You can't see it and it has blocked the bypass hole. You could also use a pond patch kit https://www.lowes.com/pd/smartpond-B...ch-Kit/3546732

I thought the common wisdom was that play sand (silica sand) turned into algae city. How long has the tank been running with it?

I'll take a new one soon.

I removed all of the Guppy Grass, added a couple more pieces of Spider Wood, and got rid of the Emerald Rasboras. The shrimp population has exploded and doesn't show any signs of slowing down. On the down side, I have noticed a few puffs of BBA here and throughout the tank.

The thank was filled in mid to late August. And I did battle with what seemed to be heavy diatoms that seemed like they would never go away, however they did.
