I am starting my first paludarium in a 55 gallon tall. It's 24" x 20" x 26.5". It's a pretty weird size and the one I have did not come with a lid. I'm going to make my own but my question is should I do glass or a screen lid? I plan on keeping red eyed tree frogs in here and they do need a humid environment. There will be an automatic humidifier but will I benefit from having a glass top or is that overkill. Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!
Like already suggested go mostly glass, the first inch or so from the front glass should be screen, this will help a lot with keeping the display glass clear
I should have specified that this is not for dart frogs. This is for red eyed tree frogs and since they need a lower humidity I went with 50/50 screen and glass. With the plants, water features and automatic fogger it stays humid enough but not as humid as dart frogs like it.
