Some are Seiryu and some are the Faux Seiryu that is available at AB Bonsai. I bought mine from Lotus Aquarium, and from a SCAPE member. So it is a mix'n'match you could say.

I see the the progress is very good in deed. Keep it up.Are you planning on adding any schooling fish, would definitely accommodate it good IMO.
Thank you Ramiro, I'm thinking of 25 Rasbora Maculata, they appear a little more vibrant than the Chili Rasboras. I'm definitely wanting something in the orange/red color spectrum. I thought Ember Tetra's would be cool, but may be a tad on the larger side of things.
Thoughts?
Here is a pic of the Rasbora Maculata.

Those aren't bad suggestions at all...are you a fan of Rummy-nose tetras, they're one of my fav's I think their zebra-like tail fins will stand/pop out once your plants are fully grown as well as their bright-red heads. Then again there's cardinal tetras too, but dont get me wrong the rasbora masculata will stand too.
Cant wait to see more updates.
Did you decide on a canister yet?
Not yet Tanner, I'm leaning towards the Fluval 206, with clear tubing. The main selling point for me is the ease of priming and cleaning.
I may do the same to try another filter out.
Day 25ish?
Still seeing nice crawling by the HC and the DHG is responding well to the recent trimming. I'm thinking of flooding the tank next week. Today I picked up an eheim 2213 and plumbed it all, (can see the stock pipes on left side). I am using one of those SS Mesh Pre-Filters on the intake instead of the standard green one. I don't have any plans at the moment to do glass lily's, I might take a stab at som DIY acrylic ones though. I also added 3 layers of window screen between my bulbs and splash-guard in my light to tame it, it really did make a difference! Last night I picked up a 20oz paintball tank and am waiting for my ASA Valve/NeedleValve/O-Ring/Diffuser kit to arrive...holiday messed that up, should be back in my office on Monday, and it should be there. Once I get that all set up I'll fill the tank, I was going to try to do a two month dry start, but I'm too impatient, and a well respected TPT'er encouraged me to fill it sooner than later. Forgot to mention I also rotated the rock on the back right, I feel like this flows better with the rest of the scape.

Killer tank looks great bro.
Looking good, glad you got the Eheim, I just pick up mine today as well
Hey are you planning on having fish? how are you going to manage the co2 at night? I have a paintball set up as well and i may get one with a solenoid but this valve is cheaper![]()
Francisco,
I just flooded the tank tonight and boy was it tough to get that paintball co2 needle valve dialed in. I had to mess with it for like 10 minutes before I found the sweet spot.
I do plan on adding fish once it cycles, in about a month. As far as managing the co2 goes, I will just dial it down a bit and see how it goes. maybe I'll splurge and get an aquatek regulator for Christmas! hahaha.
I have an Aquatek paintball regulator and I'm happy with it. Works well and seems to stay where I put it.
I used to be indecisive but now I'm not so sure.

Thanks B, that seems like a logical step for me to take in the near future! Right now I have it dialed in at about 2 BPS.
Quick little video of my tank after I flooded it.
Looking good man, how do you like the flow though the tank with that 2113?
THE CAKE IS A LIE!
thanks man. in that video I had it wide open. I just turned the outflow down a tad and the circulation is still really good.
the HC is pearling and I got my bps to about 2-3 bps. photo period is 6 hours now and I performed my first 50% water change this evening.
Love the tank bro looks great.![]()
Very well done! Just a heads up the maculata are not as bright orange as the chilli rasboras but are a bit smaller. I had maculata in my 3 gal (its on my gallery) and loved them.
