    pH or Hardness??Yellow Neos

I have read multiple threads and google sources on Cherry being bred in different conditions. I want to be persuaded in this thread: Wether, is it hardness or pH that mainly critically determines if my Fire Yellow Cherries will breed. Please help, gonna set up a breeder only tank for these guys.

If you want yellows to breed, just dump them in pure tap water. Neos love that stuff.

I was just thinking of raising the pH to 7, while maintaining softness in my tank so that the CRS's can still molt and breed.

I've never had success breeding CRS and RCS in the same tank. It always seems like its one or the other breeding. Never both at the same time.

If you have success please let me know your water parameters.

    Good luck
