Haven't introduced myself yet (Redlands)

Hey everyone I'm Jesse.

I'm currently in Redlands but always traveling back and forth from here to San Dimas.
Shrimp wise I have one Opae Ula.
Aquatics I own a few things. Never really been an aqua scaper but I am somewhat of an aquatic carnivorous plant enthusiast. Utricularia ftw! (utricularia gibba 'floridenis' my fav) ... the easier it is to maintain the more likely I am to love it lol.
Lol I have one leucistic ryukin goldfish and a blank ranchu goldfish.
I also own a few snails 3 actually that are pets. Not sure of their correct names but I think they are two different species of nerites..kinda refered to as zebra snails or tiger snails. And a large blue Mystery Snail... I had a gold one..but it randomly died recently after 8 months.
I have some random moss..not sure what its called but i have a ton of it growing in a vase with lots of those little pond snails and trumpet snails in with it.
Oh and I have a marimo in my goldfish tank...


Non aquatic wise.. I have a zoo worth of animals..snakes, lizards, tarantulas, roaches, birds, tortoises, turtles, dogs, cats, mice, rats etc etc

Lol thanks for the Welcome everyone. I can answer some most easy questions about most animals like when it comes to their care and needs. My specialty is snakes though. I was also the vice president of California Turtle and Tortoise of LA county for 2 years. Then I stepped down due to lack of time.
As for how much time I spend on my animals. Probably 3 hours a day on the animals cleaning stuff. But most of my animals get atleast an hour of handling time each week. While the cats and dogs and birds get played with all day by family.

I just set it up a few days ago... have 2 tiny rasboras in it. and some snails...still trying to get it cycled fully

Yep if I give it something to anchor to and lots of sunlight it flowers. But when kept indoors in an aquarium with indirect light or just tank lighting no it doesnt.

In my experience it's not strong enough to flower unless it is matted or wrapped on something. However I've seen a few people with week strand flower.
