Question Where to Buy a new 75 gal AcrylicTank

Title pretty much says it all. I am looking to replace an existing 75G tank that is glass. I noticed yesterday that the silicone seam is not looking good. I replaced this tank about 10 years ago when the last one did the same thing...at that time the tanks housed albino turtles & ohhhhh what a mess. So I am happy to be getting a tank without scratched :-)

Next question is what brand. I have an acrylic Tru-Vue 55 gal. That I like because of the rounded corners but access through the top is limiting. On a 75 gal that is two feet deep what tank would you suggest?

    FWIW I am in WLA

    Thx SCAPERS

Marine Depot has Clear For Life acrylic aquariums and you can avoid the shipping charge by picking up at their Will Call in Garden Grove. You may also try Petco or Petsmart online, they have acrylic and free/cheap shipping if you spend more than $50 (or $75?)

    Update....
Still looking. I sent an email to a vendor who advertises a "Clear for Glass" tank at 303.00 black backround ( I want blue) . However you have to pre order and also buy 35 bucks worth of dry goods.

The Aquarium in Culver City quoted just under 400.
I'll go by Apex today and get a quote as well.
I have looked online and so far no better deals - not even on Labor day weekend.

I will probably go with The Aquarium. I can order as late as Wed and pick up 2 days later on Friday.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'll post my final decision & who knows maybe start a journal on this one

That is a good deal but I am definetly want an acrylic tank.
I went by Apex last Sat and inquired & they sid i could have the openings pretty much any way I wanted, so I went home and did a mechanical drawing and brought it back to Apex. They said they wanted to call the manfacturer to be sure the price quoted and opening sizes were OK & guaranteed. I was to have heard back from them by Monday. I stopped by Mon late afternoon and was told the gent that had my drawing would call me and not to worry...... well today is Thursday (still early) and I have not heard a word. Glad they decided not to take a deposit & that I insisted on the openings as drawn because I could not get the info from them on "how do they place the openings in the top".
the sage continues... there are some good deals on glass tanks... like the one above @@

    hi Richard -

Not sure if you saw it, but I have my 75 Gal Visio in Tradewinds, there are a couple pictures.

The best part is the price went down too.

    Now $200.00

Yes I did see it.......Thank you

I am getting nowhere trying to order acrylic tank. Yet I am still determined not to get glass. My tanks are on the second floor in our home and some years ago a 75 gal glass tank decided to open up in the middle of the night. Cost me a chuck of change. The seams on my current 75 glass tank just do not look that hot. Algae has worked its way in all the corners.....looks lovely & I want switch it out before it breaks.

Yesterday I got a call from Apex- openings the way I drew them - tank would be 550.00 + tax :-(
Still trying to find out from them what the standard openings are? I am not buying a tank I cannot service. I do not think I am being to picky about the openings (remember the tank is 24" tall) .
    Any comments? They are welcome

    :side bar:
Off to Nature Aquarium in Santa Monica later for a few fish 
