Hello and welcome! make sure to post pictures as you do the build!
Hello,
I got a couple of red king kong for a couple of weeks now and something weird is happening in the last week. The white stripes on the shrimp is becoming clear and not staying white. ...
It is mostly up to you to decide which is "bad". Personally, I use Malaysian Trumpet snail the most, but I have pond snail, ramshorn, mystery snail, and nerite snails in all of my tank.
MTS is...
I have not seen this before so I cannot help unfortunately. Usually, I just let my guppies be and see babies swimming around after a while.
I just want to say that your female is really colorful...
Just want to bump this thread up to see if there are more people that have leaves available.
Also, does anyone know where to find wild Alder Cones in the Socal area?
Yeah I saw the same on my first tank. They're copepods, pretty harmless, and they are a sign that your water is doing well.
Welcome! 60g for a first tank! Very nice!
You cant go wrong with Neon Tetra or Cardinal Tetra. Maybe a betta in it as well. Be sure to take some pictures!
I don't think you need a chiller, just room temp should work. I have shrimps in all of my tanks, none has heater, and my Neos are breeding in all of them. The only reason some has less shrimp than...
Any pictures of the tank? seems a bit weird indeed.
My colony stopped breeding a couple weeks back so I completely redid the whole tank with new substrate and new remineralized water. This and the fact that I have been giving them a more food more...
I haven't hatched baby brine shrimp yet, but I guess I will try for this little guy. super worried!
Hello, I recently got 3 Peacock Gudgeon from someone here, and 1 of them is not eating anything at all and I am very concerned. I feed them flakes, frozen brine shrimp, frozen blood worm, freeze...
Welcome!! can you record the progress of that in-wall 75g and put it on here or youtube? I am definitely interested in how you do it and what it looks like!
Thank you, I fed them to my fish and they chowed it down pretty quickly. The maggots are just a bit gross to think about I guess.
oh geez, I thought the container was tight. Thank you!
Do you think fish will eat these?
Edit: Tryptophobia warning btw
Background: these 2 cultures are soilless/dirtless and have been going on for a while. Recently, I set it up to basically have automatic water change with my 90g...
Welcome! nice looking tank so far, be sure to post the 10g scape when you work on them!
Welcome, seems you got MTS already! I would love to see some pictures of your setup cause they sounds awesome!
Should I do slow acclimation since the tank my betta is in currently is for cherry shrimp and such?
I will try this in a couple days. thanks!
Some quick update and question on this tank. So I added 10x CRS and they are surviving just fine, I think. I can only find a maximum of 6 of them at a time so I hope the rest are just hiding.
...
all the good causes are either listed or disproven. I think one thing that wasn't mentioned is the use of Seachem Excel. I have a basically full bottle of excel because it keeps randomly killing...
There will be plenty of chances to meet!
Snails or shrimps will love that biofilm on the wood. But snail will probably be safer if you're still cycling
I saw this in person today and its much more impressive in person!
How do you do your filtration?
btw, thank you for the water hyacinth!
I wanted to do a path as well with 2 islands on each side, but the tank is so small and the pieces I got are so big (1/3 the tank width) so I decided to do the cliff thing.
Also, wanted to hide the...
Just want to share my new tank that is going to hold some CRS in the future
Some info:
- Tank: UNS 25C (4 gallon)
- Substrate: UNS Controsoil fine
- Water: RO remineralized with GH+ to 130 TDS...
Looks like 7.4 to me ...
Ah got it! thank you! this will definitely help out in the long run of things.
woah thats very cheap and to the point! I don't have the GH+ with me to confirm the ingredient, but if it is the same then why isn't this more popular in the hobby??
