Hard to tell. It could be a semi-aquatic plant as well.
I like to have my outlet and inlet in opposite sides of the tank. It increases flow and prevents freshly filtered water from getting sucked up right away by the inlet.

I dropped a slow moving betta and removed him once he chomped the majority of it.

Cloudy water is bacterial bloom. White fuzzy stuff on wood is biofilm. Leave them alone. It will go away on its own.

Grogeous man!... I would add smaller rocks of different sizes to scatter over the sand so the bigger rocks dont look too much of a wall.
